Look out East Tennessee! Anne Hack is Knoxville’s newest, fabulously talented, family and newborn photographer. In love with the the mountains and searching for a slower pace of life with local southern charm, Anne and her family recently relocated to the Volunteer State. They couldn’t love it more!
Having settled into her new life, Anne hopes to continue pursuing her passion for photography. The birth of her daughter ignited a passion for capturing life’s everyday moments in spectacular form, and she’s been honing her craft ever since. She has garnered quite a following in her home state, something she never dreamed possible as a self-taught photographer. Once you see her photos, you’ll understand why.
Specializing in newborn and outdoor family photography, Anne is a pro when it comes to flattering angles and modern styling, like blurred backgrounds and rustic props. Her newborn photos are so vibrantly angelic you can’t help but “awe” out loud. The best part is that she has all the props and accessories needed for an awesome shoot, at her in-home studio.
Her family photography sessions are primarily shot outdoors, where she uses the natural light and stunning scenery to her advantage. We were so fortunate to be gifted a mini-session in exchange for our completely honest review of Anne’s services. And folks, let me tell you, we couldn’t be happier. Again, the photos will speak for themselves.
From our first introduction, I knew I would love working with Anne. Her kindness immediately put my entire family at ease. And just as importantly, her patience abounded as she worked with my grumpy 2 year old, who gave a pouty “no” to almost every request. I could tell this wasn’t her first rodeo, which was such a relief, in what could have been a completely exasperating situation. She saved me from tears y’all!
Another thing I loved about our session is that Anne provided just the right amount of direction. She took a combination of candid and posed images and kindly provided suggestions along the way to ensure we all looked our best. I’ve had sessions with less experience photographers who pretty much let us “go it alone,” and our final photos wound up looking just as awkward as we felt during the session. With Anne, our session was relaxed and comfortable, and we left confident that she had gotten some great shots.
When we received our final photos, I was so thrilled to see that they lived up to the stunning examples she provides in her online portfolio. Each photo we received was a vibrant feast for the eye, with no sign of “grumpy” in sight, which made it hard to pick my favorites for this article. I honestly can’t wait to book a full paid session with Anne. She offers milestone sessions for babies 6-12 months, which will be perfect for our new little girl.
In addition to newborn and family photography, Anne also has a stunning portfolio of special occasion and boudoir sessions.
