With a goal of promoting Appalachian arts, this studio offers a wide variety of classes suitable for both children and adults. Classes include painting, pottery, weaving, and more. Birthday parties and school groups are welcome!
The children’s museum features a variety of educational classes and hands-on exhibits. Exhibits include a rain forest room, model trains, waterworks, a bird room, doll house, historical toys, nature room, Native American history and much more! The museum also has a birthday party room that can be rented for private events.
In addition to daily educational fun and birthday parties, the museum offers STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) based spring and summer day camps. The camps allow kids to experience hands-on learning in a variety of themes.

Oak Ridge Junior Playhouse is pleased to offer young people the opportunity to learn about theater while putting together a workshop showcase production for family and friends at the conclusion of the camp. This interactive camp is for rising 3rd graders through rising high school seniors.
Beginners, as well as experienced thespians, will learn and strengthen fundamental acting techniques such as creating dynamic characters and communicating emotion through movement and voice. Participants will strengthen skills and explore new ideas in small groups, under the guidance and support of experienced theater performers and directors in a friendly and nurturing environment.
Campers will explore the technical aspects of theater and practice creative problem solving, collaboration skills, and effective communication. Our goal is for each young person to grow in skill and personal confidence, whether onstage or off.

Sessions are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Dance Centre, 108 East Division Road, Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Playhouse.
