Sensory Storytime: Let It Snow!
Sensory Storytime this month is all about snow! We’ll have stories, music and all sorts of fun sensory activities afterward like snow dough and ice painting.
Sensory Storytime is a program that meets the last Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM. It’s open to kids of all ages but designed with children on the autism spectrum and with sensory processing issues (as well as other special needs) in mind. Because it’s at night, a smaller crowd and a quieter library provides a calmer environment with time for more interaction.
We do our best but we’re not experts in this, so please let us know if you have ideas that would make storytime more accessible to your family and others! Email Chelsea at firstname.lastname@example.org with suggestions 🙂
