Summer Bug Safari at IJAMS
(All Ages) Despite the dropping temperatures, there are still a few days left in the summer season. Now is a great time to look for bugs, so join us for a Bug Safari! Ijams naturalist Stephen Lyn Bales will be your guide for this fun and lighthearted look at some of the creepy crawlies that live in East Tennessee. Who’s an insect and who’s not? Which critters have 6 legs, 8 legs, or more? We’ll find answers to these and lots of other questions as we search for butterflies, spiders, dragonflies, centipedes, beetles, and other invertebrates in the meadows around Ijams Nature Center. We’ll provide nets and jars for some serious, hands-on, catch-and-release bug hunting.
The fee for this program is $8- EVERYONE over the age of 2 must have a ticket.
